Virtopsy: Working on the future of forensic medicine and science

 

Virtopsy® was born from the desire to implement new techniques in radiology for the benefit of forensic science. The aim is to establish an observer independent, objective and reproducible forensic assessment method using modern imaging technology, eventually leading to minimally invasive "virtual" forensic autopsy.

Touch free navigation through radiological images

With the increased use of imaging modalities during surgery and autopsy, the need for touchfree control of a PACS system becomes more and more evident.

In surgery, sterility of the surgeon should be maintained, in autopsy the computer system should not be contaminated.
